Conservation camp registrations lagging

Last year participation was down about one-third, according to program director Jay Webb, probably because the price doubled to $215. Registration is lagging again this year, and though cost probably is a factor, Webb said last month's ice and snow that closed numerous schools had an adverse effect on signups, too. .
